Accessing the Primary French resources

The Primary French Project can help teachers to get started, with free teaching materials and access to a training programme. The teaching materials include lesson plans and PowerPoint Presentations for the interactive whiteboard. Materials can be used by absolute beginners. They aim to train the teacher as well as teach the children. The PowerPoint presentations include all images and voice recordings necessary to model language and language concepts to children.

 

To take full advantage of the Primary French resources, we recommend registering an account with the Culturethèque website (https://www.culturetheque.com) in the first instance, or signing in if you are already a member. 

 

You can then access the Primary French Resources in a number of ways, including by typing the address directly into the address bar on your web browser: http://www.culturetheque.com/EXPLOITATION/GBR/primary-french.aspx

 

The Primary French resources are also accessible from the Culturethèque homepage (see video tutorial below).

 

Once you have located the page for the Primary French project, simply click on the module you require. These will then display the lesson plan resources which are available in PDF and PPT (PowerPoint) format. Please note: PDF resources are previewed automatically.

 

 Use the coloured tiles to guide you in your selection or simply hover over the resource with your mouse, to identify the resource you require.

 

Once selected, download the resource, by clicking on the large grey arrow in the centre of your screen. For PDF resources, you may select the small grey arrow in the top-right hand corner of the download box (see tutorial for details).
